The Jazz Society of Fairfield County is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of jazz in Connecticut. To support students from Fairfield County pursuing jazz studies at the higher education level, the organization established the Micky Golomb Memorial Scholarship. Due to the niche nature of the scholarship, the Jazz Society found it challenging to discover qualified applicants for the award.
Solution
To address these issues, Mark Shornick discovered Scholarships360 through his research of online scholarship platforms. The Scholarships360 team created a custom application for the Micky Golomb Scholarship, which Shornick was able to easily fine tune to the Jazz Society's needs. After launching the application, Scholarships360 promoted the scholarship to its audience through email and social media to connect it to the right students. As a result of their partnership with Scholarships360, the Jazz Society was able to successfully find a qualified winner for their award.
